  1. #1 Any vignetting with this particular full format lens: Nikon AF-S 14-24 f/2.8 ?
Because of the hood, it´s not proper the use of a matte box with the new Nikon AF-S 14-24 f/2.8:

    But I have a doubt.

Considering its full format, will there be any case of vignetting with the Red One coupling a matte box?

I mean if we´re just using a smaller central portion (22.2x12.6) of the 36x24 full format glass... Or am I wrong?

Probably not, but only testing will tell.

Thanks. So, the fact of being a full format lens makes all the difference right?

Does it mean that if it was a DX format lens, would it vignette?

No Stephen. He's referring to that lens with a hood plus a matte box.

Would we lose the look around (ie. 4.5K) area with a DX lens?

    Hi Gorden,

My answer is still correct, the Nikon zoom lens I bought with my D70 portholes quite badly.

I was referring about vignetting on this lens with hood and matte box. What could it make a difference? The full format versus the smaller size?
