I remember having a similar conversation about MG1 Products with you on DVXUSER. You must really like their stuff.

Mitch, you should buy some of their products.

For "not speaking" for MG1, you sure push their products a lot, Ava.

Still debating V-mount or Anton Bauer??? Both seems good. I read positive and negative of both mounts. Looks like MG1 has very good plates - V-mount is made of pure steel manufactured by IDX and Anton Bauer is the Gold version - compact style.

Others are using plastic plates...not sure if its better or worse in the long run. Time will tell.

My understanding is their Detachable plate will be as one unit and you can attach it to the back, side or the top.

Its called "Scarlet V-mount Pro Battery plate" or "Scarlet Anton Bauer Pro Battery plate". They should add "Epic" to the title because you can use it for all Epic cameras. Same power requirements.

I have always been amazed at how much these simple plates and lemo cables cost. For that price they should be closer to what Viewfactor is making.

I agree. I think they want to offer a reasonable price for these. But again, they will be raising the price when they release their detachable plate. Should be soon. They won't give out dates much like RED.

We got our battery plate so we are very happy. Haven't had time to take pics.
