    Hi

I am using REDCINE 8 Beta and find that if I shoot HDRx ( + 3 stops for the X track) and open in REDCINE then the slider for 'simple blend' has no effect when I play the clip. The slider for 'magic motion' seems fine though and I can see the individual A and X tracks. Is this a feature that hasn't yet been enabled or am I missing something obvious?

    Hi Mark,

Can you be more specific? This feature is definitely enabled. I just it myself with no issues. Are you saying when you
adjust the slider there is no corresponding change in the viewer?

    Thanks,
    David

    Hi David

Thanks -that's exactly what I mean - adjusting the slider has no discernible effect on the picture, whether it is paused or playing.

    Thanks Mark,

Do you mind taking a one frame trim of your clip, zipping it, and emailing it to redcinex at red dot com?

    Cheers,
    David

Mark, are you monitoring OUT via red rocket? if so, you do not see HDRx on your outbound monitor...only WITHIN redcine x viewer.

Johnny, thanks - I am opening the SSD in Redcine on my laptop, then opening the clips and looking at them in the Redcine viewer window, and that is where 'simple blend' doesn't seem to work for me.
All my work is wildlife EFP so I operate without an external monitor, just using the evf or, if I am in a blind etc, I'll use the LCD. I wouldn't expect to see any HDRx effect on either of those, but I would expect it (?) when in Redcine on a laptop.

Mark, could you go to Help - Save Report in REDCINE-X and send the file it generates to redcinex at red dot com?

I suspect your laptop's video card may not have the level of shader support needed for REDCINE-X to do simple blend.

Thanks Grant - I'll do that as soon as I am back in the field and have access to the files.
