Has anyone tried to use Nikon G-serie lenses with Novoflex adapters on the Red Canon mount?
Does the Novoflex fit? Can you reach the iris lever?

Yes - it works fine, and it's easy to get to the lever
    except for one small issue:
There's just a little bit of play in the adapter - the lens can be rotated slightly - that may result in a small amount of image shift when pulling focus.

I think the best way to use G lenses on Epic/Scarlet is just to buy the Optitek Prolock. One Novoflex adaptor costs around $300, get three of them for three lenses and you've already approached the Optitek mount in terms of pricing.

    Or you can use Leitax.

Once more, solid advice from fellow redusers.

    Thank you!

    I'm trying this:

    http://www.amazon.com/Fotodiox-Adapt.../dp/B003TYFEJG

Once my Scarlet shows up I'll let you know how it works! It's a stopgap pending the proper RED Nikon mount, for the 14-24mm. For everything else I'll invest in some longer Canon glass.

I have an original Fotodiox Nikon-Canon adapter (without the aperture lever) and it's pretty solid.

I've been using it with my 17-35 for over a year now and the play is almost non-existent. The only thing I would recommend is to snap the adapter on the lens and never take it off, if you have another lens, just buy more adapters. If you keep them on lenses they don't develop play, if you constantly switch them, even the sturdiest ones will.

That's exactly my thinking. The only Nikon lens I want to use on Canon mount is the 14-24 I keep banging on about, so the adapter will live on that - I'll use Canon glass for everything longer.
