Had the pleasure of shooting with a scarlet today. DPed a short. The camera is Ryan Koo's. with a great number of #0072 :)
The camera had only a LCD screen and a Brick battery. The Side handle had not arrived, and the there was no BOMB EVF. It's a bit clunky in that configuration but it worked, smoothly and reliably despite the cold.
Things i like: (obviously the image is amazing...)
1: The size was amazing. Especially capturing 4k RAW in 16bit. even in the smallest form you can still capture maximum quality. Awesome.
2: The Ti PL mount is simply a work of art.
3: location of run stop buttons. EXACTLY where you think they will be. Blind and having picked up the camera for the first time....
4: The LCD image is quite nice to looks at, and the lay out of the menus is cool.
Things i Dont like:
1: When you hold it like a Hassy, a jet of hot air goes up your nose from the heat sink. Annoying.
2: without a side handle, its practically impossible to have a secure grip on it. (the Side handle should be mandatory and come with the camera)
Thats about it....
