REDucation 2012 Dates and Info

Prepping for NYC. This class should be a lot a fun for everyone. The Studio Space we have in Brooklyn is going to be great. Big enough to set up our 4k projector for the students to see their work in 4k, and plenty of room to shoot on their studio back lot and in the stages.

As those know that have taken REDucation in the past, you know we are always tweaking the class for the maximum learning value and hands on time.

This time around I've changed up most of the 3rd day of the class to make it into a real world shoot and prep files on set for viewing and post production. Each team of Students will be shooting and using various Red Rocket PC and Mac Configs to load the 5k and 4k RED Raw Files, and drive them just as would be happening on real world shoots.

We have about 7 slots left open for the class, so if you want to register this week, we can still take a few more students.

One thing I'm wondering about the LA event..., is it ok to take photos? Would love to do little photoblogging here and there (i read somewhere you had to ask permission).


Also, kinda off-topic but the film Prometheus which was shot on Red is released a few days before... It would be awesome to see if some people form the group would be keen to go along to check it out...


Can anyone recommend any good cinemas in the area? Otherwise this might be a sweet night activity for people to get involved in.

I was just curious if the 3 day portion wad mandatory to take the 3d class? I've been shooting red for about 3 years. Also will 3d be offered in LA in June? If not does anyone know when the next 3d class will be offered?

It is not mandatory just recommended for those who do not have RED experience. We will have the 3D course again in LA in December - and in NY next week but in June we will be running two different extension courses.
