    Sergio,

LAX is about 30-45 minutes from LAX depending on traffic. We have a number of hotels in the area we can recommend in the two/three star range. PM me and I will send along our preferred hotel list.

    Sergio,

Reducation is not only some of the best training available but the networking with the other students is priceless.

Since I work for a government organization I'm always having to travel on a budget way below my tastes. Here is the hotel where I stay when I visit Red Studios Hollywood. Rodeway Inn, 777 N. Vine Street, Los Angeles, CA. I would not give the place more than two stars but you can get a room for less than $100 a night. The best part is that the hotel is just a block away from Red Studios so I don't bother with a car. You spend all day in class, then go out for dinner with classmates so you are only sleeping there. I have the advantage of flying into Burbank Airport. The taxi ride is about $32. I don't know how much it would cost from LAX.

If you need any other information just let me know.

    To those thinking of attending,

Do IT! I took the Epic course in September and it was AWESOME. Never shot on RED before REDucation and now I own a Scarlet. I have drank the cool-aid and am not looking back. Thanks Ted and Brian for making my experience so enjoyable.

    A question to TedRed.
is there a limit to the number of attendees?

Answering for Ted - we have added a strict limit of no more than six attendees per camera package/TA. We will add cameras/TAs as we fill up the class, usually we average 50 attendees.

Hopefully some of the REDucation alumni will agree, but in the post class we spend ample time discussing techniques and tools for every budget. In fact, it is extremely rare that I discuss workflows that can only be used on big budgets! The truth is, the RED workflows that I employ are used on the smallest and largest movies all the same. The tricks and techniques that I teach know no difference between a webisode and a 3D feature. Honestly REDucation is not designed for a specific "class" of creatives. Our curriculum is truly based on the belief that democratization and optimal efficiency can be achieved by every user regardless of their budget or location. Scaleable workflows along with a full understanding of color science and RED manipulation costs you nothing in practice, which is why we are able to satisfy the needs of every RED user.

Hopefully some other alum will be able to confirm our techniques effectively transcend the boundaries of budgets. For the do-it-yourself-er, REDucation 3D and the post course will have a long-lasting, positive affect on your work.

Confirmed. I attended December's Reducation+Post course and was very pleased by how Ted and Michael taught principles rather than dogma. I was also impressed by the span of experience among those in attendance. It made for great discussion both in and out of class. Everyone I spoke with came away with new ideas that were going to make real-world impact on their operations, whatever the size.
I very much recommend Reducation to big-leaguers and homebrewers alike.

+1 and a whole bunch more who will be unable to post here.

Michael, you are always the highlight of REDucation for me...
