Any word? Or is "RED Digital Cinema" enough to go by for this one?

Wow, good question. I have always just assumed it was a motion picture camera... Of course we all know what assuming does.

It will be easier to load than a film camera.

it's a motion cam...jim is in the business of making products that don't exist, and you can get great RAW dSLRs. that space is already pretty crowded with satisfied customers and great products at reasonable price points. why go there? especially when there are clearly a lot of dissatisfied moving image producers? that's the money trail, where users are endlessly frustrated by moving image trickleware at ludicrous prices. my opinion, of course.

Perhaps this bad boy (err...babe) does both! I would totally buy a DSLR/Cinema hybrid camera that I can run around with and use for candid motion picture footage. Imagine what that would be like!

If this is a DSLR, I'm still buying one! The only problem is that RED will have to come up with a lot of things on their own or have them incorporated into their designs by licensing them. Frankly, I hope they come up with it on their own given how clever the developers at RED have shown themselves to be. If Jim has made a DSLR based on Mysterium technology with the "it's not good enough for you until it's good enough for me" design mantra I would buy it and RED lenses without a second thought because I know he has very high expectations. I can certainly speculate on how awesome such a thing would be. I don't care if it takes six months to get Adobe support for RED RAW (Can we call it something cool like RED BLOOD?) images. The only real must haves I want in any DSLR right now is UDMA support and dual CF slots.
