Was charging batteries and getting things ready this afternoon for the arrival of my Scarlet tomorrow and figured I'd take a pic of just the accessories needed to be able to shoot with a Scarlet/Epic camera body.

    So, you will need:
    A lens - I have 2 PL mount there
A screen (touch screen is VERY much recommended!)
Side handle if you want to go mobile (and don't want to invest in v-locks/plates/adapters)
    Redvolts for the side handle
    Chrager for said Redvolts
SSD cards (you really do need at least 2 unless you like sitting around waiting for transfers)
RedStation RedMag the fastest (and only) way to transfer data from the cards

All in all, about $7500ish extra just to be up and running.

Here's a pic with what is needed for the 7D/5D MK2 I'm shooting along with Scarlet:

Lens -2 Canon L lenses there
    A pair of batteries
    Charger
    CF cards
CF card reader (cheap USB2 one as the firewire one is being used on another shoot)

    About $2700 for the Canon(s)

I notice that you have a longer LCD cable, are you able to choose a larger one at the time of order, the length that comes with the LCD definitely won't be long enough for my purposes.

Maybe you would need at least a good tripod and a mattebox (and baseplate and rods) to hold ND filters (no built in ND filter in Scarlet) and of course ND filters compatible the mattebox. And all the audio stuff if you plan to record audio.

Start shooting and see what you feel you are lacking.

Yep, not shown is tripod, mattebox (I actually use screw on ND filters with the RED zoom) and audio gear (should be using external audio most of the time anyways). Or a computer to offload media for that matter...
LCD cable came with the LCD that I bought used. It's still pretty dang short!

Oh ya, and I actually have more SSDs, Redvolts/chargers and another PL lens - just wanted the bare minimum needed to shoot in the pic.

You get an 18" cable with the Bomb EVF, btw. Nice to have both the 18" and shorty that comes with the LCD :)

    3 SSD cards.

    One in the camera
    One being ingested
One waiting to go into the camera.

I really prefer to have 4 cards ... so I could have one waiting to be ingested as well in case the DIT/Ingest tech get backed up.

I don't know what size you have there, but I prefer 128 for Scarlet and 256 for Epic.

If you need an ENG type solution, then you need to get a Sound Devices PIX 240 recorder. Proper audio inputs, and a good 1080p recorder from the SDI tap. Also a monitor.

In my case I would also add 2 or 3 v-mount batteries with battery belt clip or back !

...and don't forget about a good mic!

What about a video head/sticks? Shoulder mount? Crane? Dolly-slider? Lights?

Needed? I think most of those accessories pictures are preferred by some but certainly not "needed". Of the ones pictured, the only ones that are absolutely necessary are a lens, REDMAGs and REDMAG reader.

You certainly need more battery capacity if you want to shoot for more than an hour or so, whether it be through additional REDVOLTs or another battery system. Also, I would tend to take a tripod, handheld rig, follow focus, matte box, and monitor that is sharp enough for focusing, etc over multiple redundant control devices (sidehandle, touchscreen).
