    Scarlet on the cheap !

Hi guys, here is my rig on the cheap. Coming from the DSLR world, I am not the super - rich guy who can afford all the stuff. So here is my solution :

    a) Proaim Matte Box and follow focus from India with Rod
    b) From China Rod Risers to adjust the height
    c) Original Battery Plate from Red

And : ready to shoot. Looking forward for your feedback !

Also here are some tighter detail shots . As stated in the earlier post if you don't need or want the 2nd set of rails just mount the long plate directly underneath the QR system & 15 mm block & plate. If your thinking of going the route i have gone you will need to bolt a small plate as a joiner between the 2 systems.

Thx mike. This looks truly inexpensive and its really very clever. This could get a lot if people going as long as they are on a budget, before coming back to the gunner or the clutch ;) I'll check it out! Thanks again for sharing your detailed info!

    Nice,

Very compact! I think it's great, does it balance out?

Congrats on your camera Joel. In my experience, I really don't like having the camera higher than my own eyes. I'm 5-10 and my rig is on the border of being to high. Depending on how tall you are, you may find that shoulder pad too thick.

    Hi Joel

    Is that the canon 24-70?
if so, how does it work with your matte box - does the extending front element cause issues?
trying to figure out how to best make that lens work with a matte box.

    cheers

Is the fact that the 24-70 is a telescoping lens the reason why your donut is not flush?
