I have the Shape fr handles and they are (1) beautifully made (2) have a unique (?to me?) push-button quick-release-to-re-align feature and (3) were a very reasonable price.
I am about to try their current DSLR shoulder pad to, all of $170! Having said that I have heard that their new "epic/scarlet/C300" shoulder system is over $1500, which is a crying shame if true. I think this is w-a-a-ay beyond the budget/justification of many Scarlet-users...

But their site is _def_ worth checking out (http://www.shapewlb.com/) if you are cruising for aks as they have some very reasonable-priced components. They are a Canadian Co and while they make it easy to buy direct, they sell thru Adorama in the US (maybe others?) and it does save coin on the international shipping!!

I wish them well and will keep hoping for more modestly-priced accessories in the future.

Joel, big thanks! I had to come up with a quick solution for a job, and had those bits lying around, never thought i'd use the redrock pad again (never liked it), but it actually works and feels good.

    Thanks for the idea!

Most recent config. Still deciding on a shoulder mount but truth be told handheld this way isn't bad.

Okay so I finally got my Scarlet #2290 on Monday, March 26th. I've been playing with it all week and have come up with a bunch of configurations.

The first is a basic setup. It can shoot in this configuration. Very light and portable.

Also it all fits in this case.

Which is both a roller and a backpack.

Brining in another case adds a studio setup. Mattebox, remote follow focus (http://www.rtmotion.com/) and wireless HD video (http://teradek.com/index2.html). Whole thing sits on top of my new geared head from CPM Filmtools (http://www.cpmcamerarigs.com/default.asp).

Finally more of a run and gun rig. Missing two key pieces, notably my Redmote to make it really sexy, but a workable rig for the time being.

So I really love my new toy. Pictures are great, form factor is awesome. Can't wait to shoot. If anyone needs me or wants to see it, I'm in Brooklyn, NY. PM me for more information or rentals.

    Benjamin,

Great looking setups! Could you please tell me where you got that 1 to 4 D-Tap adapter? I really need one of those :)
