I don't really understand people buying Scarlets and selling them right off the bat... seems like an awful waste if you're only gonna use the thing once or twice.
Holy Heck! I'm pushing my DSLR to it's absolute limits and other's are juggling Scarlets and Epics!!! *shaking my head in shame at myself*
Thing is a Scarlet is not alot of money for what it is.. but someone like me with my current circumstances, it's simple not obtainable at this point in time making me green with envy.... *looks to the sky and pleeds to the gods*
I haven't looked at this thread in a few days. My, how things have become interesting here...
Thanks Dave!
=D
Yep. :)
A waste? Buying a Scarlet, using it and becoming successful enough to then go buy an EPIC sure doesn't seem like "a waste" to me. Personally, I think buying a Scarlet and putting it in a blender would be a waste. But hey, who am I to judge what people choose to put in their blenders? ;-)

By the way, I just recently had a slight change of plans. I'm keeping my Scarlet. And buying an EPIC-M later this year. :-) (Hint, hint... 3D)
I'm also going to be changing my Scarlet rig slightly. I'll be ordering a Quad Battery Module and some REDvolt XLs next week (and eliminating the top rail system), so I'll post photos of my new rig once everything is all assembled.
Here is my Scarlet rig, in Queenstown, New Zealand.
It's been a great camera so far. TV commercials primarily. Shooting with Canon L Series Glass when on a budget and renting in Zeiss Ultra Primes when necessary.
