Looking to building my first Epic Rig. I shoot with mainly Canon L series lenses 35mm, 85mm etc. I also have a cooke 18-50mm pl. I was wanting to see what everyone here thought of my choices, and if you had any recommendations. Im new to this so there could be mistakes with my rig. This will be used with the Epic M and Red Touch 5.0 LCD. I will be using Red Bricks, and the Redmote as well. No DMSC Side handle.

I'm also shopping for a rig.
Curious why you're going with RedRock's MB instead of O-Box WM http://www.ocon.com/products/camera-...ies/o-box.html ?
Will the RedRock MB work for your widest lens - or lens you might buy?
As you like RedRock, why not RedRock's micro FF Blue? http://store.redrockmicro.com/Catalo...ollowFocusBlue
How are those attachments going to affect REDmote connectivity?
I went with Redrocks MB but actually now after more research I think Im going with the O-Box.
I have heard good things about the Cinevate FF thats why I went that route.
I plan to have the Redmote connected to the side of the camera.
My main concern is the Shoulder Rig from x. I haven't seen anyone with the rig, it somewhat rattles me.
Had to list it here
the syndicate speed racer for the clutch.
Good choice... the O-Box is a MUCH better mattebox than the Redrock... couldn't stand that hunk o' junk.
Have heard great things about the Cinevate FF as well, but after much research I went with the OConnor O-Focus DM... much better for my needs, albeit roughly $500 more than the Cinevate. It's obviously a different class of FF from the Cinevate.
Enjoy!
At least from my reading, I see no one who's unhappy with the O-box, so that's my choice also. The RedRock MB, had many questionable comments.
This is another I was considering that seems well liked,
http://www.shoot35.com/products/cine...nit_frame.html
but ... it seems to be lacking a bit on for the wide angles, and just a bit less than the O-Box (of course, I probably need to total up whatever accessories I'll need for the O-Box. Those colorful handles will total move than the O-Box itself, which seems a bit strange?)
For the RedMote, I meant whether any of the add-on's would interfere with using it remotely?
Did you also consider the RedRock Blue FF? I'm curious about pro/cons with that - compared to the other choices. The price is certainly right, and it seems like their 2nd version of their FF may have produced a nice product?
I know I'm going to be doing some motion control, and wonder whether I could get a remote control FF that would double as a 'normal' FF?
In regards to the Shoot 35 MB works fine down to about 12mm on the Tokina 11-16 zoom @ 4K . Not sure how much wider you need unless your using an 8mm & I'm pretty sure O'box cant handle that either.
Mind you, with dragon sensor coming maybe everyone needs to consider the implications for MB's & lenses.
@ Bjorn
Now I would never have tHought of that...........does it work?
