    Done.

I came here wondering if someone had started such a thread, and was not disappointed. I do love what Adobe has done with Premiere, but after taking the survey... I miss Final Cut. I hope they can get it together soon enough.

Don't forget, everyone that only reads the first post of this thread:
Apple has already confirmed R3D support coming in FCP X in a future update.

Although I think it still good if people give Apple feedback about it, showing them that this is a big audience that wants the feature. (especially with the Scarlet speaking to a bigger market potential)

Same with the other vendors. They all need to listen to the users ;)

I was hoping when they said "by the end of the year" or whatever that it wouldn't be this close to the end of the year.

    Damn my optimism.

I know it's only mid-September...that's late enough for me. ;)

Yep, you're optimistic. I expect nothing before October. If you want to be conservatively optimistic, shoot for the middle of the quarter; 11/15.

10.0.6 is already way overdue if you look at the FCPX release schedule thus far. The longest interim between updates was the 3 months between the original release and 10.0.1. Since then, they've been coming out pretty regularly +/- 10weeks. FCPX updates have been almost exclusively released on Tuesday, so by next Tues we'll be at 106 days since 10.0.5. So I believe the next update is imminent.

I've kept track of release dates and such on sticky on my desktop- for anyone curious...

    10.0.0 - 2011.06.21
    10.0.1 - 2011.09.20 91 DAYS - FEATURE RELEASE
    10.0.2 - 2011.11.16 57 DAYS - MAINTENANCE UPDATE
    10.0.3 - 2012.01.31 76 DAYS - FEATURE RELEASE
    10.0.4 - 2012.04.10 70 DAYS - MAINTENANCE UPDATE
    10.0.5 - 2012.06.11 62 DAYS - MAINTENANCE UPDATE
    10.0.6 - 2012.08.xx 106 DAYS if released next Tues.

For what it's worth, I think we will see 10.0.6 this month or very early next. Sill leaving time for another bug fix (10.0.7) before the end of the year.

Very curious to see what form RED support takes. Hope to have it for something I'm shooting next month on a friend's EPIC.
