Sick of asking....
Apple are very close to losing me shortly...
New tower??.. with at least 2 Thunder bolt ports ... if any tower at all....?
R3D support.... ? Like NOW!!!!!!!
Apple are like so falling behind.
So so sad.... I used to be the biggest FAN.. now when people say apple and professional in the same sentence i almost cringe...
+1 on the cringe! I refuse to buy any apple product until the new mac pros are out!

So true, but I haven't given up on em yet! I don't have to rely on a new MacPro at the moment, so I'm fine at the moment.
I just can't stand windows. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with it anymore. Apple has to make a comeback into the pro world. Maybe the future of the
tower still lies elsewhere: like a mac mini sized MacPro with an external thunderbolt enabled pci card / hard drive tower. I don't need the huge desktop casing at all,
but it has it's definite pros! like hard drive access and what not. maybe the modularity will be back. who knows. one can dream, right!
if they fail to do so, the windows monopoly will start to come back, and there's no real UNIX solution to all this, and I can't tolerate and still won't accept it ;)
here's to hoping!
Not only the operating system. Yes, FCP X fails on a number of levels, but once you learn how to use it, it also excels on a couple of levels where other NLE's can only dream of.
Biscardi said this in a blog post about Adobe, and I can't help but feel the same way:
I love how Adobe seems to listen to the community, but I also have this feeling when using Premiere. Our overall feeling is that Adobe has got a lot of advanced features that nobody else has, but the basic core editing experience leaves a lot to be desired and at the end of the day, we’re storytellers and need a solid core editing tool. Yes we are aware that Adobe is most likely going to introduce CS6 soon and with any luck some of these issues will begin to be addressed.
The devil is in the details.
I did a job on FCP X, reluctant after rejecting it a couple of months earlier. And after working with it, I really wanted to learn more about it. Opening up the old FCP immediately FELT backwards too.
That's why we keep trying to get this program up to the height its predecessor was. This program has a lot of potential.
And although Apple botched the launch, still has a lot of missing features, did lots of things WRONG with FCPX, you have to hand it to them that they dared to completely rethink the NLE-concept in trying to make it better. Wether they succeeded , time will have to prove, but after using FCP X a bit more, I'm a lot less of a sceptic.
