    Yes but we all can see compression noise different to the footage noise, I think..

    The 5D is a great camera for the money.

    That said, we chose ONE shot from the 5D to use -- the one that intercut well and didn't look too soft or exhibit aliasing. Just because you find a use for a 5D in special situations (in this case co-director Raafi climbed up onto some girders on which we weren't comfortable perching a RED) does not mean it could replace the RED for EVERY shot. Lots of big-budget features intercut DSLR shots without you noticing, but if they'd shot the whole thing on a DSLR you'd definitely notice.
