First time RED owner, very excited to get this out on some jobs, music video shoot in about 2 months may be it's first exercise.

For now, i'll be getting familiar with her! (No Name yet)

Here is a pic (sorry cell phone quality, too excited to grab the slr) of my setup on sticks. For now using my Dfocus from my slr..it 'works just enough' til i can get something more durable/professional

Also all I do to move to shoulder is add my Zacuto Shoulder pad w/ quick release onto the back of that setup and attach the front handles, and I have all the weight right on my shoulder, feels really nice not to have it out in front of you wearing the arms out. Can't really use it shoulder mount yet though because I'm waiting on my longer LCD/EVF cable so I can swing that LCD arm around front of my face..plus side handle so i can use my redvolts.

Loving it so far. The images out of this thing are amazing. . and i'm just playing indoors stuck to a power outlet :)

My First RED stills ever! From a 3K @ 48fps test

    Excited to learn and create!

Nice comparison between the RED still and your camera photo! Congrats -I bet you feel like a proud father, first time RED owner and all ! I'm hoping to feel that way myself pretty soon.

    Congratulations Joe,

I am also in the Orlando area still waiting on my two Scarlets. I do however have the Viewfactor AB-APU mount as well as two Anton Bauer battery's if you would like to borrow them to get that camera outside.

PM me if you are interested.

Awesome! I'm up in Gainesville. If you ever need a random assistant with little to no experience and a backup body, let me know :)

Well I kind of changed around how I setup the shoulder rig...originally it was using the shoulder pad on it's own short rails with a zacuto q-release which balanced really nice weight wise but I didn't like how high up the center of the lens ended up being.
So I tossed the q-release for now and ended up with this

I still need to mess with it but for now it'll have to make do. Tripod purchase next!

Only issue I have run into besides my original Blackshading problem, is when I'm doing a 5k timelapse, sometimes going into playback makes the monitor go insane and split into 2 uneven images. Rebooting makes it go away though. Not a big deal, but annoying
