I'm new to the Premiere Pro workflow and wondered if someone might have a solution to the following -

I have installed (and re-installed, and re-installed!) Premiere Pro CS5.5, updated it to 5.5.2, and the presets for RED R3D do not show up when I load the program. I checked the contents of the package and low and behold the .sqpreset files are all sitting where they should within the RED R3D folder. They just won't load into the program.

Does anyone know if its possible to load the .sqpreset files into the program some other way?

    Cheers!

Thank you - I tried that installation and not even the newly installed 5K presets are recognised by Premiere - though the files are definitely there... same thing on two macs I have tested it on! Dunno what I'm doing wrong!

So you're installing the plugins after you update, correct? Unfortunately every time you install an adobe update, it defaults to the non-epic importer and you need to reinstall the epic importer.

+1 anytime an update is done the files have to be re installed

    FWIW -
I had the exact same issue arise towards the end of last year... In my case, it was due to an incremental patch upgrade mid project...
The bad news: after extensive back and forth tech support direct with adobe, they do not (yet) have a solution. The Good News: this issue is on their radar, and will hopefully be addressed sometime soon. But as to HOW soon? Your guess is as good as mine.

Any update on this? I have installed the Red Importer twice now and both times I go to open a new project and there is no sign of Red sequence presets.
