Do these companies provide one million in liability as well? Would be great to get a package going.

    (EDIT)
Somehow didn't see Peter's post above mine :D

What are some of the production liability prices that you guys are getting? I got quoted $3800 for the year locally.

    Brandon,

That does not sound right. A 1 million dollar liability policy is around $500 for the year. Couple with that with 50k gear insurance, and for personal use you are looking at less than $1,500.

Mark do you have any personal experience with them? If so, do you have your reps contact info? Post if you got it and I'll add to the list.

I'm insured under the Steadicam Program from WP Dolle insurance. (I can't link directly to the page - you should see "steadicam program" on the blue left sidebar.)

You must be a member of the Steadicam Operators Association (one-time $150 fee) and you don't necessarily have to be a steadicam op or own any steadicam equipment.

My yearly premium for coverage on ~$80,000 worth of gear is $1,000. Deductible is $1000
Accidental damage/loss/theft/water damage etc all covered.

My epic M was damaged on a shoot and the brain/SSD/PL mount had to be replaced. The production company I was working for was insured with Fireman's Fund Insurance/Entertainment claims. The process for settlement was quick and easy. They covered the purchase price of the everything that was damaged. Fireman's Fund rocks!
