David,
As with all of our products these will be Made in USA...They are not steel, but aluminum with stainless steel inserts, back focus will be there as well as some minor tweaking.

If these are bent sheet aluminium then presumably they may be lighter than the more expensive original top plate?Originally Posted by John Vonbadinski

Eric, the sheet aluminum is lighter but the SS inserts are heavier. It ends up weighing about the same as the original billet version.

Can't wait to see further revisions of this Top Plate "Lite"
In order to be compatible with the FMJ Cage Kit the threaded holes on the sides would have to be moved in line with the RED "ribs" on the brain, correct?

Yes, the side holes are different than in the render... 5 holes vs 6 and aligned with the ribs.
