When camera is setup for 24 frames, 800ISO and 180 shutter, and I calibrate blackbalance, the settings shift to 12FPS, 96deg shutter, and I can only asume its calibrating for that.

Why you no calibrate at current settings!?

    I'm guessing ;)
    - 5k, because the whole sensor will be blackshaded, not just the 4k-window
    - 12fps, because thats scarlets maximum at that resolution
    - shutter speed is probably just the default setting or maybe a defined variable in blackshading-calculations

It is normal for it to shift. I've noticed that when I do a blackshading at the current exposure at 25 fps / 180° shutter, it will shift to 24 fps immediately. I should watch more closely but I'm pretty sure it's normal for it to change settings during the process. They are always restored when the balancing is complete.
