Absolutely need a cabled Redmote option. Why can't we not have this? This would just solve so many things and make it even better. Please someone at RED. Cabled Redmote....Are there any possible plans for this in the future????

    Anyone else want this?

Don't rely on the LCD Touch screen. There are big problems accessing the drop downs. Sometimes it takes 30 or 40 "clicks" before it recognises you have selected something.

Having said that, I currently have no choice but to use the Touch screen, because my RedMote still hasn't arrived :-(

Antony, this is not normal. You have something wrong with your touchscreen. I do think that the redmote is fairly useless but the touchscreen has always worked well for me.

I've noticed that the RED touch really responds to precise and specific lengths of touch. If I rush and I'm sloppy with a press, it seems to ignore the next few, sometimes several attempts, but if I'm always precise, - length of pressure and accurate position, it always responds.

Had that as well when my epic arrived. I borrowed a redmote and connected it and somehow the touchscreen problem disappeared... Strange and probably not the right answer, but you might try it....

Have you tried something like this? I ordered one in advance, not wanting to touch the screen and smudge it.

If you are having any problems with the REDmotes please send us a trouble ticket so we can track this properly. Then let's factor out firmware upgrades, settings or something similar being the issue and if there is a problem we want to take care of it. The REDmote is an amazing tool like nothing I have ever seen attempted on a camera system. We'll get you dialed-in, just as we always have...
    Thanks Sean

I have been using a stylus on the touch lcd and it has work flawlessly. I also had to send my redmote back as the enter button wasn't working either.

I also experience anoying slow responses to dropdown menu's and having to click 4-5 times before it works... Primary menu's are no problem at all and work good, as also slide menus work flawless.
