Just curious (and maybe this has already been asked). Does anyone know of a future Rocket card working directly through thunderbolt? Seems like it'd be much more reliable than eSATA/ExpressCard. Or maybe there is a third party card that works via thunderbolt that does the same thing as Rocket. Just throwing it out there to see if there have been any announcements/rumors....

    Thoughts?

There is third party options that allow for thunderbolt and the cards like RR to be used but those aren't out yet as far as I know and if they are coming out it'll be later this year...though I'd wait for testing,

There is a video of the RR being used over thunderbolt I believe and its sonnet doing the body work but there is another by a few companies...

No knowledge on anything from RED though, hopefully they'll do something in RED Station style

I think RED will make a Thunderbolt Rocket. They would be mad not to... but like many great Red products it will more likely come out when Red is ready for it to and not quite when we'd all like it to :) Sign me up first to buy and I will be buying a new TB-enabled MBP at the same time.
