That said, shouldn't a standard 3.5mm TRS to TRS cable work in this instance? The Sennheisers have a 3.5mm TRS balanced mono output...

With all due respect I'd disagree with that, but if there is uncertainly how to wire the TRS, there is now the option of purchasing an XLR to TRS audio adaptor cable from RED.

I wound up getting the A-box from x and calling it a day.
Does anybody know what is causing the popping clicking that people are reporting. I've been struggling with it and I have the correct cables.
Bump **
Having these ticks or clicks as well. Working with the WC A-box, a Sound Devices mixer and tested cables just to eliminate most potential problems. Sound is great, levels are fine. But that click is there!
And even when I remove all cables from the Scarlet the clicking noise is still there, when monitored through headphones and when playing a recorded clip in RedcineX.
Made a small wav file as an example: http://www.erwinvandijck.com/sites/d...arletaudio.wav

Does anyone have an idea about this?
Please chime in!
Is this a cable issue? Or? Just got bit by this issue myself.
It's caused by the 4 contacts for the lens data link. If you cover the contacts with tape it solves the problem - however inelegant that is. Someone else said Red fixed it when they had the camera serviced by reloading the firmware - perhaps it is fixed in the upgrade? I have installed the latest yet.
Wondering if there's any confirmation/clarification on these issues?
About to buy some Red XLR cables. Is there any real reason why I should be forking out more for an A box besides the dual inputs?
Responses would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Lliam
