By the way, I thought I heard somewhere here that unplugging the RED Touch 5" LCD from the brain while the camera is on could potentially short circuit the display. Does anyone know if this is true?
I'm sure they are hot-swappable but worth getting final confirmation from Red

I can confirm that RED PRO 5" touch screen LCD and RED PRO EVF are both 100% hot-swappable.

Give you one of the first tests shot intentionally with one of the oldest cine zoom lenses (Made in France by The Artists) to get a bit softer natural look of color rendering.

Also I can report that a transfer of 12GB R3D files from REDMAG Station 1.8" to Pegasus Thunderbolt RAID 4TB via mobile eSATA II PCI ExpressCard/34 on MacBook Pro 17" took 110 second.

Shot on Scarlet-X with an old French S35mm cine zoom, 4K, ISO 800, 5000K, F/8, 2x Circ-Pola, CC RCX-PRO + PS5, lighting: Sundown daylight in the late February.

Thanks a lot Ketch and Jeff.

My primary focus is an extreme lightweight and very mobile system that includes two small cameras like a Scarlet-X and Canon C300.

Then I must reject to put anything on those cameras that could increase its weight and looking mostly for the efficiency

and high quality of shooting with a small, lightweight still lenses from Leica R/M, Canon, Nikon and older Carl Zeiss.
