Recently got a few messages asking for a clip on handling HDRx footage inside of DaVinci Resolve.

Threw this little clip together. Hope it sets a few people down the right path.

A useful tutorial for sure, but wouldn't keying out the over-exposed highlights and replacing them with the HDRx-track be a more practical way to do this?

Yes Jaako. In the video I mention you can do that or use the window depending on the degree of accuracy you need.

Sometimes with a key inside Resolve it can be tough to nail it quickly. If it is just a dirty grade a window will work all the same if you've got the blending skills.

In Resolve you don't need to create the second node. If you create a second source and add the layer node to that, it creates automatically the second node.
