A useful tutorial for sure, but wouldn't keying out the over-exposed highlights and replacing them with the HDRx-track be a more practical way to do this?

Yes Jaako. In the video I mention you can do that or use the window depending on the degree of accuracy you need.
Sometimes with a key inside Resolve it can be tough to nail it quickly. If it is just a dirty grade a window will work all the same if you've got the blending skills.

Thanks for this, very useful. So can you show workflow to get a cut sequence in to Resolve with HDR.
In Resolve you don't need to create the second node. If you create a second source and add the layer node to that, it creates automatically the second node.
