Update on Al Canon mount please

I have a shoot on April 21st and I'm freaking out right now as I was counting on the Aluminum Canon mount to be released on March 30th. Do I need to start looking to rent or should I wait? My client won't cover the rental cost and I was hoping to just buy it when it came out. What should I do?
