I've got a Chrosziel Mattebox which is 110mm. I used it with my EX1 and I am wondering if there is any way I can use it with the RPZ 17-50 on my Scarlet? Maybe this doesn't make any sense but I would like to use my current mattebox before I get a new one!

I have used my Chrosziel 450 with Master Primes. I just snug the MB up to the lens and use a strip of gaff or paper tape to seal the light gap. While it does work, it is not something you would want to do every day.

That's what I thought of doing, just pushing it snug up against it. Not using filters, just as a sunshade. I'll have to go with a more professional mattebox later on.

Dominick, simply go and look at the Chrosziel Mattebox spec sheet. There should be a number of insert openings as well as reducer rings that should make your mattebox highly flexible

I did check out the Chrosziel site where they offer different rings. And yeah, thought about doing the doughnut.

After placing the matte box snug against my lens last night, there was more vignetting than I anticipated. I think I'm gonna go with the RED Mattebox.

Thanks for the replies everyone :)
