For cell phones and small laptops 1080p is fine... but not for theaters or home televisions. Even apple has proven that 1080p isn't enough to the consumer world with their new Ipads.

I think we have done our Job pushing the fact as now the competition is starting to jump on board. This NAB looks like the year almost every other manufacturer jumps on the 4K acquisition bandwagon that we set more than 5 years ago.

    Question is... what's next?

No question, a complement for changing everything in motion capture video/acquiring images... People in my class can stop rolling their eyes at me now and get with the program of keep sending film stock to a lab in some other country to develop their film.

Well... Seemed like APPLE still underestimate power of the RED TEAM... Not good. They should give you thunderbolt (for RED station) license for free at least and do some work around Final cut X up to date to this NAB.

In terms of the world of cinema, I think it could be argued that 1080p is the mistake of the century! Has there ever been another format used in the making of a classic film, that has had such a low resolution and narrow dynamic range? Here are just a few of the casualties that look soft when projected on a large movie screen:
-Fantom Menace (half of it anyway, usually the parts with a lot of compositing)
-Once Upon a Time in Mexico
    -Hugo

I just thought the idea of a company hating 1080 so much that their company cell phones were all the 720 models, was really funny to imagine, but a really strong philosophical stance.
