Same with the iphone.. great bit of tech. easy to use. My grandma even has one now. I got a Galaxy note about a month ago.

As a phone not really practical, but a nice little AMOLED, isn't it.

Im 10 feet tall remember so to scale the note actually fits me perfectly. That said.. i've used pretty much every phone out there as they have come about... and the Iphone (at least on ATT) failed at being an actual phone more than anyone.. but that didn't really matter as it was the leader at pretty much everything else (until recently) .

Wanted to add a note that we've been having issues with the Lacie USB 3.0 PCIe card and our USB 3.0 RED STATION MINI. As indicated on the Lacie website, that product only supports their own storage products!

Maybe this phone makes you look shorter. :-) Hope you checked out Red footage on it.

Yup! That was my first thought when you said you went to the 'Note' as it's a giant screen for most people but perfect for you.

Isn't USB 3 slightly faster than the RED MAG?

Are you talking about a bus powered hard drive for this? Or are your dropping your 256 mags straight to internal storage, MBP right? I am thinking the first option?

Figures... I guess I'll make use of the Mini with FW800 for now on sets with no available power... Good thing I bought both, and also good thing is that in many situations I can knock on anyones door and get an extension cord in, love been back home... ;)

Now you getting me worry, and problem is I'm always missing dead lines cause I don't have an editing system, NO MORE... I need a Super Tower with 2 RR now... So if a new MAC pro does not show up, I really need to buy the current one and beef it up, or seriously hit S&^$# and look on to a PC Tower for Editing, and the worst is I'll have no idea were to start... :(

Don't worry, Microsoft and Apple have been slowly stealing OS ideas from each other for years. Both systems are quite similar now on the surface.

I've had trouble with LaCie drives and their support staff. G-Tech or CalDigit until RED starts making hard drives. They make a pretty good SSD :)
