Will this work OK in Lion? Any issues?
Should work fine Terry
Sorry for the double post, but: So am I right that with the current updates that happened today in RCX and the new FCS Installer and the new 8.0.2 Resolve Update, that RCX can now spit out Quicktime Reference files, like the proxy files used to do, going to the same folder as the R3D, allowing you to use them in FCP X, make your cut, send an XML straight to Resolve and finish in RAW there?
If so, great! :-) Nice to see both Resolve and RED making this all happen for their users.
From the download page:
What does this mean exactly for Epic 5K movies vs 4K?All clips resolutions over 4k are automatically decoded at half resolution
Posting again:
On opening old projects in RCX 11 or even creating new projects, I don't see thumbnails of the shots. It says that there are X number of items but no thumbnails. Meanwhile I can view the footage straight from the browser.
MacOX 10.6.8
Hello - just a FCS3 update specific question:
Should this work with Audio?
I don't get Audio through with Log & Transfer and the new Plugin (only get flat audio waveforms & noise)!
FCS3, OSX 10.6.8 (all updates installed)... Audio recorded to channel 1 on an EPIC-X, 2.0.5 Release (clean with A-Box and external phantom power, fine with RC-X exports)...
Can somebody take a look if audio is working fine with L&T for them? Thanks!
RCX could always spit out QuickTime reference files, but it was limited to RED ONE. Now it supports Epic & Scarlet-X as well. Not sure if these work in FCP X, as they're meant for FCP 7. For FCP X I would probably transcode to ProRes as it seems to like that format best. But try out your workflow and let us know :)
