    Humm...

Let's see...Spend money to come see Red Studios, take a class, or listen to Jim/Ted/etc...OR spend that money to goto NAB...?

We just received this posting for the NAB lineup...Looks like a total jerk-off session...I mean really.

Does anyone else find it interesting that several of the topics are clearly areas were Red has, is, and will dominate and not one representative from Red is on the panel of invited speakers....?

I propose a "NAB, next door"...complete with live streaming of the entire Red team and all the stuff they'll be doing...

Personally, I think you can learn more on this board in 15 minutes than you can during the entire conference...

I think we'll save our money to come visit Ted at Red Studios some time...Their toys are better anyway...

    Have fun in Vegas...

Didn't you know Jack? 4k didn't exist until Sony decided it did.

That was my thought as well. Red is like the geeky kid that got picked on in school. The kid who then grows up to be bullies' boss and become a billionaire.

Patrick...I love that idea...can you imagine a sea of red shirts in the audience. The sony guys would flip a lid for sure... Almost reminds me of the Thomas Crown Affair near the end...all the red shirts scurrying around the floor of NAB - I take it back...I might fly up just to see that...

No I mean the terrible one shot on film.

All of the speakers at that panel are heavily involved in standards and formats. Something RED not only doesn't participate in... they seem antagonistic to. I wouldn't expect them to be speaking at a panel about open standards--seeing as their file format is not only proprietary, it's encrypted.
