Hi Mike!
Agreed. But realize that many of us will never have a spare 30K for a BM board, as many of us shoot as well, and have lots of cash put aside for prod gear at the same time. Even for a full time colorist in most markets, 30K is a lot, especially since in many countries, banks are very, very tight right now so it would have to be cash up front..
Add to that curved fall-off for HSL qualif., (Not just linear like now), the ability set a different Red Settings for each Red clip instance (like in Premiere) and better still Red Settings within nodes, limited by qualifiers. Also a Transparency variable (for using qualifiers and windows to make layered comps on the conform timeline) Also, let me copy and paste curves between Hue-vs panels (now I have to manually make the same points if I want a particular hue to be de-sat AND shifted.) Let me reset any curve point back to default un-moved position with one click. Let me use a separate display LUT for my external monitor and my viewer window. and most of all give me nice big curve windows, with a few well-placed points I can control up and down via control surfaces.
Not sure what you mean by edge windows? You mean like a vignette? You can always make a centered square and invert it. (Likely that's not what you mean)
