DAVINCI RESOLVE and ***HACKINTOSH HP Z800***

Hi there,
I think I’ve seen some technical spec somewhere stating that DaVinci Resolve won’t run on an Opteron (AMD) based workstation but only on an Intel based one.
Anybody there who can confirm that statement?

i use my Z800 on windows actualy (on a 3D film)
i have back at my home in few week ... so, luigi do think it's possible to imagine a Machete version with GTX 680 or GTX 690 now ?
I heard that the new resolve 9.0 can use GPU cluster (Gpu card over network ?) it's a good news or i don't well understand ? ...

i think it's actually computer clusters - for the linux system w/infiniband, but i could be wrong as well

Now I am busy for work.
I promise that soon will come out '(Mountain Lion) I make a version
Machet 2 "REVOLUTION". ready for the HP Z800, with support for the new GTX cards 6XX.
I like to work on a hp z820 but for now I will not spend the money.

Do you think it's necessary to have a redrocket with this configuration ? pheraps, power on my 12 cores (24 threads) is enought :)
And do you know more on the "cluster GPU" on the 9.0 resolve version ?

Actually i have 24 gB ECC RAM (6X4G), do you think it's possible to put non ECC RAM ?
And can you advise about RAM for Z800

Soo Guysss,
Today, having spent a few hours to do the patch at the Mountain Lion.
We are nearing the release date, I have not encountered major problems, some minor problems to boot, arranged, and some problems with the Cuda driver but now operational.

DaVinci Resolve 8.2.2 works very well on the GM version 10.8, this version is very stable thanks to Rohit and Peter;)

The version of Machete 3 is called the "Revolution", what is supported now.

Work:
Hp-Z800 CPu all 4 cores and 6 cores.
-96 Gb max ram (tested)
Gui-card 8800/9800 Nvidia
Cuda-card gtx 4xx/5xx. and gtx 670 and 680.
-2 Redrocket card at maximum 8x speed
DeckLink Studio and 3d-card without problem in 4x
-SAS internal controller, up to 8 drives supported mainboard.

Do not Work:
on-board audio (I did not really want to fight, I do not serve much)
On-board SATA AHCI

Working Progress:
-I am working very slowly with support for HP z820, I really like this station, I read every post from Jeff on the workstation that is testing the most.
Wait a bit but I can say that an alpha version of Machete 3 hp z820 to be ready.

Not yet tested:
- GTX 690, unfortunately I do not have the opportunity now to test one sorry: (
I can not say if they work.

Do you think the GTX 690 can be ok ? i hesitate to buy it .. Do you think, if it work the 2 gnu are recognize like 590 ?
