    Hi All,

I'm just wondering if anyone is using this combination, I understand that everything is built to a standard but just wanted to check.

I plan to combine the x Epic Riser and LW 15mm rod Bracket with some shorter Element Technica 15mm rods. As the ET rods are tapered at both ends if I remember correctly is there still enough depth in the WC 15mm Rod Bracket to securely grab the rods and support a matte box?

I also want to combine the x 19mm bridgeplate & 12" Dovetail with 19mm rods from ET, anyone using this combo. I'm assuming that there are no issues, you know slight variances in manufacturing causing the rods to be sticky or grabby?

Many thanks in advance for your thoughts :-)

Here is a thread with pics of my rig. All ET Ultra rods and WC mounting hardware. Everything works great, plenty of room to clamp down on the 15mm rods.

Interesting. We're doing a video on the x 19mm plate, and we use Element Technica rods!

I believe those are the 6" 15mm and 18" 19mm rods. I have the 3,6, and 8" 15mm rods and the 12,18 and 24" 19mm rods. You'll certainly want multiple length 15mm rods for different lens sizes, depending on your matte box. You can see my red rock matte box is hitting the end of my 15mm rods. I've been using the 24" 19mm rods so I have a large rod area to rest on my shoulder until the x shoulder pad is released very soon.

we use 18" ET ultas 19mm with x 19mm baseplate. No issues. WC baseplate is extremely light compared to others. With the ET Ultras it's a dream.
