Would be nice to have 1” -1.5” wide half-oval hole at the bottom (underneath) near the screen surface so we could insert finger for touch screen operation.

It could be blocked (plugged) with rubber blank if someone chooses not to use it.

Or, if it could flip up for touchscreen then flip down when needed. That would be cool too, but keep it 100% solid a light leak would be a disaster

I had so been hoping someone would come up with a solution that allowed the 5" touch to double as an EVF, even though I haven't received my camera yet and therefore can't speak to the practicalities of it. EVFs built around a "traditional" LCD platform tend to be mostly 3" and under from what I've seen. So I wasn't sure if 5 would make it TOO big to make sense. The main thing for me, besides wanting to save money and weight and have a screen with the flexibility of being either a traditional LCD or EVF, is to have an EVF add on that has a diopter. It's a vision thing for me now, since I've reached the age where things are a blur when they're closer than 2 feet. Jay or anyone else, will this product come with a diopter?

This looks like a neat idea. I'm definitely in the market for an EVF of some description so this may be a way to save a bit of cash.

This are good news! (After searching for a while without luck, I was just ready to build something like that for myself).
    Jay please keep us updated.
    Thanks,
    Marc
Looks like this will be a great "group buy" item.
