Still waiting over here. I think that Jason needs to learn that silence isn't a good practice, even if the response isn't what people want to hear. If you have time to take peoples $$$, you can take time to respond.

I saw him at his NAB party - no scopes to show there . . . bummer since I wanted to see them and was told that he would have plenty for purchase. Seems a nice lad

I spoke to Jason by phone on Wednesday (4/25). I was disturbed by the fact that my unit hadn't arrived (ordered 3/24) and did not ship when he indicated it would from a previous email check. He apparently was in the process of digesting some disappointing news regarding production schedules/delays and said he didn't even want to say anything about "when" until he was more certain what exactly the situation was. He expected to know that by Friday or Monday (tomorrow) and said he was planning to send an email out to everyone that ordered after he had more information. He said he was offering refunds to those who'd contacted him and couldn't wait any longer.

He'd always been a very nice and responsive fellow to me, initiating some private messages when I'd asked questions about a technical matter on the board before. He remained very open (including openly frustrated) in this most recent exchange. However I have to agree with Lee and others. Silence and extended waits without updates is not the way to go if you want to establish any positive reputation in a community like this or as a business in general (anyone around for the Birger mount saga would know this). I hope he is not just avoiding these boards because it's unpleasant for him. He seems like a young guy, so I hope he learns early that people are generally very accommodating, tolerant, and patient as long as you are honest with them and are clearly doing your best.

    Jason,
Is there any chance of getting an update either on the Cinema Oxide site or possibly here on this thread? I've been considering the Carbonite Scope, and am willing to place an order for one in the near future, but I'd love to know the back-order situation before hand, just for peace of mind.
