Does anybody tried the PAG ZL-125 Time Battery 13.2 V 125 Wh on a Scarlet ? was wondering it worth it, the price is quite high ($800) but I already have some PAG chargers and hassle free on a plane so I was considering to buy 2...
Do you know long does it power the scarlet ?
    Thanks

I have not used that battery but I'd be cautious about investing in NiMH batteries for Scarlet. That battery looks like it weighs over twice as much as an equivalent Li-Ion battery. Also most similar Li-ion batteries have a nominal voltage of 14.8V starting at 16.8V and dropping to about 11V when completely discharged. Scarlet shuts down at 11.5V. I'm not sure the voltage range of that NiMH battery is appropriate for Scarlet, though it may be since from my understanding 1.2V NiMH cells only drop to about 1V at the end of their capacity for discharge rates under 1C, so the effective voltage range should be 11-15.4V and as long as the voltage doesn't drop more under load then it may be alright. I would be careful though, and would probably recommend testing carefully to make sure you don't end up with a battery that makes your Scarlet shut down when the battery is still half full. Hard to imagine why you'd want to buy a NiMH battery these days especially such an expensive one.

Hi Noah, Thank you for your reply, very interesting, indeed.

I consider NiMh battery for different reasons:
    - I have to travel a lot by plane with the equipment so hassle free battery is cool.
    - I already have 2 Dual Paglock charger so I would like to keep into PAGlock batteries.
    - weight is not an issue for me.
    - I must say that I like PAG products, it's build for long term, I still use with my Scarlet some very old (more than 10years!) Ni-Cd batteries (Paglock 5.0 13,2V) that I was using with my Sony 400AP a loooong time ago and they are still usable. I got only 1 hour with those but well, better than nothing considering their old age !

anyway, your message point a problem that I was not aware. As you wrote, if the battery shut down at half full, it's pointless to spend this amount of money. Do you think that if I go with the PAG ZL 150 14.4V I will avoid this problem ?
Please have a look to the specs of the battery: https://www.paguk.com/sites/default/...s_ZLSeries.pdf

Unfortunately, as I'm based in Jakarta, I will not be able to follow your suggestion and test it with the Scarlet before buy it.
    Look forward hearing your thoughts.

    continue to shamelessly promote:

you can buy THREE 150wt Li-Ion's WITH chargers for what you seem to be saying is the price of ONE PAG battery??

I have 3 - shipping was FREE + 3 chargers. Haven't seen a better deal on V locks anywhere. Totally happy.

I like those as well and have been posting about them. Best deal I could find anywhere on V-mount. They were even $20 less in November when i bought my first 2, but even after the price increase they are still better price than anything else by about $100 .

Question guys: Do you know how long does one battery stand on Standby? Let's say with a side handle and a Touch screen ? Thanks ;)
