  1. #1 LA Zoo
Yesterday I took my 2 and 4 year old and my wife to the LA Zoo. I thought about taking my Epic and a 24-70 Canon and a monopod but was lazy.

As we approached the flamingos I saw a man with a 3 year old in a stroller holding an Epic with the 24-70 Canon. I asked how many RedVolts he had and he turned around and said "Peter?".

There was an old friend Sergio Arguello, who I hadn't seen in 10 years but had kept in touch via RedUser.

I love the fact that this forum helped me reconnect and also how great is it that we have a camera we can take to the zoo and shoot 5K while pushing prams with small children.

    Great seeing you again Sergio......

    Cheers,

    Peter

    Such a cool random meeting.

No such thing as a coincidence :)

It's fun to be a part of a small but global industry. Anywhere film-makers congregate you probably will run into someone you know. Although I wish there was something even smaller and lighter than an epic or scarlet to recognize each other by. ;)

Did you check out the new LAIR? (Living Amphibians, Invertabrates and Reptiles) Wow they did a fantastic job!

My boys favorite was the Gabon Viper perfectly camouflaged in a pile of leaves.... they have 2 inch fangs! The biggest of any snake!
