For my compact Doc work camera set-up I finally got this little new piece.
A camera technician here in Berlin made it for me.
It serves to switch cables while keeping my LW rods mounted, has better accessibility and protects the original DC plug.

Initially I just wanted to make a very short adaptor cable,
but the L plug would stick out too much on the side.
Andreas Halle (a great guy working at Cinegate) suggested to fit the two plugs into an aluminium profile and fill it with a silicone-like mass.
Wiring is perfect and battery percentage is still communicated.
I think he did a great job!
Too bad I don't live nearby, I would like to get one made for my camera as well.
That's awesome. Would love one if it could be mounted to something other than the riser plate... hmmmm...
I'm not using any riser though, ive gone with the modular assault plate and red QR system. Could always try to mount it to a tactical rib though.
