  1. #1 Empty xxx.RDC directory after recording error
    A good sunday to everybody,
a few days ago after a longer shot our Red One stops with a Recording Failure. It worked fine after rebooting, but the shot seems to be completely gone, the directory is just emtpy.

Do you know, if there is any way to recover the data? Is Redundead a try worth?

    Best regards,
    Dorian

Well, if the shot is important, it's worth a try. However, if you carried on recording on the same media afterwards, you may well have overwritten it anyway.

If it happens in future, while recording longer takes, then you'll generally only lose the last bit of it as Red One records long clips in chunks of 2GB. In any case, if you can't just do another take, best to swap media straight after such an occurrence and try RedUndead on it BEFORE using that media again.
