    Hi guys.

If you have a few minutes to kill, I just want to invite everyone to participate on a little game guessing what camera was used to shot this 30 sec video I posted today on the Natural History Thread.

At the end I will give some insights.

Please enjoy it and have a nice time!

Scarlet at 2K? My other thought was FS100 at 60fps, or even NEX-5n at 60fps, cuz I have a feeling you have a surprise answer! Leica or Canon Macro?

    No one else? ...hmm interesting.

I thought more people will have the ability to discern the difference between the images produced on digital cameras, specially those guys with more years in the business.

Thing is: It's kinda hard to say what makes it look soft and strange, while still keeping the vivid colors... Could be 2k R1 M, I cannot descern all the DSLR's, but it doesn't look like Canon to me, except for maybe the colors, and as I basicaly mostly use the REDs and some Alexa... I dunno. From the question, it sounds like you're comming with some kind of surprise. From the feathers, I'd say it's not a camera that skips lines, but the compression makes it look a bit off. Hard to judge whether that has happened in the vimeo encoding or in the original footy.

There is enough light and contrast here for the R1 M, R1 MX and Epic at high cropfactors...

    Quite some shots, though! Congratulations!

But I have no idea what it was shot on...

    :)

There are other lighting situations that are more challenging for the cameras and make them more distinguishable, even though to shoot those shots themselves is quite a challenge!

    Thanks Gunleik,

Yes, Vimeo encoding make it look a bit off. Below there is a screen shot 1920x960 for you guys to see the shot in more detail (Click on the picture to see it in full size)

No surprises though, just having good time and sharing with fellows Redusers.

Peeking at the channels, I'd guess it was a RED camera at 2k. Which it is, would depend on the amount of available light. My guess is R1 M, but it could be Epic/Scarlet/MX as well, as nothing is really very low or high exposed.
