  1. #1 Scarlet audio HELP!
Sorry if this has been covered but I haven't found a link where it solves the problem.

I basically found the link on here of how to hook up a Rode mic with adapter to work through the mic 1&2 inputs on the scarlet...in my case a sennheiser mke400

When my headphones are plugged in the scarlet...i can hear the mic picking up what i need and it sounds fine...just need it for reference audio

My problem is...when transferring the r3d files or checking back in redcinex...there is no audio, no audio timeline etc

I am using FCP7 and a trial version of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5...still no audio

would love some help on this and to avoid busting out my H4N for every bit of audio i may need

    Daniel ;)

    Hi Daniel,

have you tried installing the new RedImporter for Adobe Premiere? It is supposed to have audio playback.

Just curious. try spitting out a quicktime from redcine. I had a strange instance when I couldn't hear the audio in RCP, but I could in the quicktime. After installing an earlier build of RCP, it began to work. Then I went back to the latest build and it began to work.

but i can't seem to find the audio wave form on the screen?

thats the weird thing...the audio meters pop up on the screen for like a second
so even though i can hear audio, I'm not sure if its getting to the scarlet ok due to the audio meters not showing up

Are you undercranking? I remember the audio meter flashing by like that and then disappearing when I was shooting 5K/12 fps.

I know people hate when people bring back old threads but was this issue ever solved? Having the same issue with an important project I shot... Could hear audio during recording, no audio in red cine x even after export.

Try another player like the RED player, or try Premier CS6 to see id the audio is there.
