Just wondering if the Nikon mount will be available when the first 100 cameras ship around NAB time?
As all the features will not be available I'm afraid that I will not be able to shoot 2k with my Super16mm lenses so will have to use Nikon stills till I managed to get a set of RED Primes.

It's supposed to be available, yes.

And you should be able to shoot 2K REDCODE RAW. Most of the initial limitations are apparently related to RGB.

85% is almost there. I'm jealous for my #111, just eleven numbers above the line. Even if I was among the first #100, I don't know if I would wait or not but it is really tempting indeed.

I'm HOPING and GUESSING <$1,000! No one's mentioned a price, but I THINK Jim said it will be, "affordable," or something like that.

Jim said everything would be affordable and in-line with the camera price, which he said wouldn't go up when regular orders open up at NAB. I would think it would have to be very much below $1'000 to be considered in-line with the camera price.
Considering Evin's incredible Nikon lens evaluations and recommentations, I would think a great many Red users are interested in a Nikon mount. Next week is the Red Summit where (when) they will apparently be deciding of final prices for all accessories. One of the things to take into account here is the number of units made. Maybe we should take a poll as to how many reservation holders want a Nikon mount. Hopefully enough to drive the price down. Definitly count me in!
Anybody able to create some kind of counter for this, Jarred maybe?

I'll be using Nikon for the forseeable future. Probably the 17-35mm f2.8 along with a 50mm something. Most of the quality of major cinema lenses for a fraction of the price. Can't complain.
