According to the description it seems to be machined out of a single block of aluminum, so $249 actually is quite reasonable for such a machined object. But no, I'm not going to be buying one. I don't drink coffee :-p

A red mug is a great idea. Something to go on the red store for "Red Wear". Canon does something similar with their EOS lenses mugs. Red Mugs could be really badass :) (I would get one, but only at 50 USD tops!)
While we are at it, how about a Red rain jacket with only the red logo in it, like the cap? That would look great :)
