I felt like the resolution to this needed its own thread since it seemed many were struggling with the QT freeze frame issue.
My solution for PC world:
- Delete all folders and files located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\REDCINE
- Uninstall redcine
- Uninstall qt 7.4
- Install QT 7.31
- Install Redcine
- Export successfully
- Tears of Joy
Then follow these simple rules:
Redcine Rule #1: No mixing source formats in the output of redcine, - this causes the single frame after xxx# of frames issue for me. Also mixing formats in the Redcine library causes major instability for me.
Rule #2: The project format settings in Redcine must match the source shots you are trying to output. This was the cause of the single frame QT output.
Rule #3: for maximum Redcine stability keep the QT player closed when working in Redcine.
No more frozen frames for me. Hope this helps anyone else out there trying to resolve this.
