Where do you get QT 7.31 for PC? A link would be great.

Hi guys, thanks to the tips i always manage now to get rid of the Freezeframe bug by deleting the REDCINE Settings Folder, and making a new Project, but then of course i loose my old project and have to do all work again.

When i save my long worked on Pregraded Project that is "broken" occasionally ( dont know the specific reason for it, other than I openend and closed the Project often, did a lot of saving and loading rcc Look files and a lot of Saving the RCN file manually not so much trusting autosave (sorry). ) out of REDCINE, then trash all Settings in the Settings Folder and reopen the saved RCN Project, it keeps doing Freeze framing the First Frame.

The same freezing First frame also always occurs when i open more than (one?) clip in the "timeline" and set in and outpoints anyhwere. Then my rendering always is a freeze frame.

It could be that this it only occurs when i loaded 5 or 10 or more clips, i cant quite say for sure. At least with one clip and either with or without In / outs it always works.

    Windows XP 32 SP2, AMD X2 3800+, Geforce 7600.

Im having the "first frame freeze" problem with QT 7.5.5 and Redcine 3.1.5. Anyone has any luck with this combination or do I have to downgrade to QT 7.31 to make it work?

    My solution for PC world:
    1. Delete all folders and files located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\REDCINE
    2. Uninstall redcine
    3. Uninstall qt 7.4
    4. Install QT 7.31
    5. Install Redcine
    6. Export successfully

    Follow these simple rules:

Rule #1: No mixing source formats in the output of redcine, only load files of the same frames size and frame rate into the library. When I generated output which spanned 2 different formats it caused the single frame freeze after x# of frames issue for me. Also mixing formats in the library caused major instability in redcine for me - no probs if all files are of the same format.

Rule #2: The project format settings in Redcine must match the format of the source shots. If you are working with a 4k 2:1 file your project format setting must be 4k 2:1 - Having the project format settings set differently from the file format was the cause of the single frame QT output.

Rule #3: for maximum Redcine stability keep the QT player closed when working in Redcine and as I said before do not load source files with different formats into redcine.

No more frozen frames for me. Hope this helps anyone else out there trying to resolve this.
This tip worked for me also.
    Thanks a lot RFO
