I have discovered a potentially disastrous oddity that I'm asking anyone else to confirm.
The new Red DSMC Quick Release Platform (which I'm kinda fond of...) apparently when coupled with a "new-style" standard Arri Dovetail ( black) the Red QRP will run right over the spring loaded safety stop button and keep going! This means it's possible to have your camera slide right off the dovetail and hit the ground if not properly locked down.
I have confirmed this behavior with two separate dovetails. It DOES NOT do this, with an "old-style" Arri Dovetail. (grey)
Can anyone else confirm that what I'm experiencing isn't some strange fluke, and that there is a serious design issue.
