    Today in Dubai, my superiors and I had the joy of being possibly the first to shoot the EPIC with the Canon 1200mm. We wanted to share with our fellow filmmakers some pictures of such a remarkable combination of kit. In addition to the 1200mm, we also attached the 2X Canon TeleConverter which made it a 2400mm lens.

    We look forward to sharing footage and more pictures from shooting with this lens, as well as our additional ventures with shooting EPIC...

    I guess this means that RED has calibrated the electronic aperture to work with this beast?

    Yes, indeed. Worked beautifully just like the Canon 70-200 f2.8 Mii I'm always shooting with.
