I somehow didn't get the filter rings with my Peling so I can't speak from experience... but I would imagine it would be possible to just cut discs from Kodak wratten 3x3 in. squares available from any good camera store and designed to be inserted in the optical path.

Lee may make optically transparent filter material as well but I think of Lee (like Rosco) as making ND material designed to go in front of lights etc. and is not necessarily designed for being in the optical path.

The wratten, however, are substantially more expensive (something like $60 though they can be found on ebay for a third that price.)

Let me revive this 11 year old thread!

Did anyone ever figure out a source for rear NDs?

    Thanks,
    Mike

I'm the guy who originally put PL mounts on these, way back in the 1990's. I had custom NDs and 85 and 85ND filters made for them. Still have some . . .

I can make filters, but you must supply the filter holders that come with the lens when new. I have ND 0.6 (two stops). Also 85 and 85n6 but I bet nobody wants those.
